Huawei Mate 9

The Huawei Mate 9 smartphone comes with a lot of power packed into it. Huawei is the world’s 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer. Their goal is to be ranked number 2 by the end of 2018. Whether, they will reach that position is still a question mark. Here are the specifications of the Huawei Mate 9: This smartphone measures 6.18 x 3.1 x 0.31 inches and weighs 190 grams. It has a screen size of 5.9 inches  and a native resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. For this smartphone, Huawei uses it’s own processor known as Hisilicon Kirin 960. Huawei Mate 9 has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of SSD, 4000mAh battery, a Dual 20MP camera that has 12MP sensors and a 8MP front camera. This smartphone is Daydream VR ready and this is probably the reason why it placed a powerful processor inside this smartphone. I am not sure if it is the best phone to use for Google’s VR platform. This is because it does not have a 2k display. The Huawei Mate 9 was built to last. This is why Huawei has placed it’s own MLA   ( Machine Learning Algorithm ) in this phone. Having this in your phone assures you that your phone will be faster as it ages. This smartphone has so many divergent functions that the user can tweak. Huawei claims that the MLA in this phone gives 20% increase in smoothness of performance, 50% increase in system response and a 20% boost to the graphics read and write speed. The Huawei Mate 9 costs $600.
The Huawei Mate 9has a full metal design. It does not look attractive at all. Huawei built this phone to perform and not for it’s outer looks. This phone is quite large . There is more screen on this phone when comparing it to other rival phones. You will find a fingerprint scanner on the back side beneath the Leica dual-lens camera. There is something peculiar about this phone. If you placed the phone on a table, you need to unlock the phone by picking it up or press the power button. You can use your PIN to unlock the phone. At the lowest part you will see two speaker grilles. The sounds on these speakers are good and reliable. You can also find a USB Type C-slot (  between the 2 speakers ) at the bottom. On the topmost part of the phone ( right hand side ) you will find a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is also a power button located on the right hand edge. The Huawei Mate 9 comes with a full HD panel and it has good viewing angles. This smartphone comes with the Emotion UI 5. It is so much alike the Android Nougat 7.0. The phone has a lot of unneeded apps on this phone. There are also a lot of very useful software on this phone too. If you don’t like the added bloatware on this phone, simply uninstall it. You can watch a bit of videos on this phone and the quality is quite good.  This smartphone can be used to play games regular or intensive. This is where the battery becomes so useful because of it’s long life.

The Huawei Mate 9 performs quite well, but it is not the best smartphone available as claimed by Huawei .The battery can last the user for a full day, if used intensively. If you do not use it on a regular basis then the battery can last for almost two days. The Huawei Mate 9 has a 20MP monochrome sensor for it’s rear camera and a 12MP color sensor for it’s front camera. The monochrome sensor gives out more detailed results. This is based on the idea when the mono image is combined with the color image, the result is a clear and well detailed picture. The Huawei Mate 9 rear camera does a splendid job at this. This camera can also record video. The front camera performs well using it’s color sensor. The details are not well defined when pictures are taken in the dark or at night time. Having said that,if you are not fussy over the design, the Huawei Mate 9 will just be right for anyone who likes performance and battery life.
