Samsung Chromebook Pro

The Samsung Chromebook Pro differs from other Chromebooks , because it is both a Chromebook and an Android at the same time. This arrangement is really one for the books. It has never been done before.  Samsung has been the first one to introduce this type to the market.  In other words, this Chrome book can duplicate a laptop since it can become a convertible machine. It has a 3:2 screen  thatl suits this kind of arrangement.  Because of this, sacrifices had to be made. The keyboard is more packed in and the battery has less life when you compare it to other Chromebooks.  As for me, I still like it. Now the Chromebook can do more things. You just have to get used to it. The configuration mentioned here will cost $550. The lower model which is a Samsung Chromebook Plus will cost $450 and this comes with the OBI-ARM chipset. Here are the following specifications : the processor used is a 0.99GHz Intel Core m3-6y30 dual core, 4MB cache up to 2.2 GHz. It uses the Intel HD Graphics 515. There is 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The screen is 12.3 inch, QHD ( 2400 x 1600 ) LED display. It has a 32GB eMMC  8.72 storage. The Samsung Chromebook Pro has 2 USB –C Gen 1 ports, microSD card slot, and a headset jack.  For connectivity purpose it uses the 802.11ac 2 x3 WI-FI and a Bluetooth 4.0. This particular Chromebook uses a 720p HD wsbcam. The weight is 2.38 pounds. The dimensions are 11.06 x 8.72 x 0.51–0.55 inches. One thing I like about the Samsung Chromebook Pro is the sharp resolution of this Chromebook. It’s nice that it also comes with a stylus pen.

The Samsung Chromebook Pro is so nice to look at. It’s all metal design fits this Chromebook. It has Google Keeps that allows the user to take down notes. You can access Google apps on Google store.  For protection purposes, it uses the Gorilla Glass 3. This Chromebook is light, when compared to a lot of laptops out in the market. The Samsung Chromebook Pro is strong. The metal used in this laptop is so smooth and it has a nice feel. The Samsung Chromebook Pro has a 3:2 display and this is found more on tablets. With this kind of display you get more display pixels and viewing photos becomes delightful. The keys on the keyboard have become smaller and this can cause some concerns. As I said, after typing on the keyboard several times you will get used to it. It has only one millimeter of key travel. It does not have backlighting on it’s keyboard. The touchpad gives the user pinpoint tracking. The Samsung Chromebook Pro comes with a gyroscope and acceloremeters. The stylus pen that comes along with this Chromebook is considered to be equal with those commonly used on convertible laptops. The stylus pen has a light touch to it. You do not have to press hard. A light touch on the screen will do.

The Samsung Chromebook Pro can do a lot of things. It could stream 4k media and this is because of it’s processor and it’s memory. This is good  for it’s QHD screen measuring ( 2400 x 1600 ) LED display. It has enough power to run all of it’s applications. On the Mozilla Kraken Test ( A  Browser speed test ) it scored 1818ms. On the Octane test ( a Javascript test )it scored 21,911. Using the Jetstream test ( a javasript test that is focused on applications  )it scored 125. The scores are just in the mid-range. The tests could have been better but Samsung wanted to put it’s focus on a sharper looking screen. Doing this will definitely have an effect on the processing power. The battery will last for at least 8 hours. I really find this Chromebook so useful.
