Kyocera DuraForce Pro.Smartphone

   If you want a smartphone that is tough looking and really good for outdoor activities, then you might consider the Kyocera DuraForce Pro. This phone was built to withstand the pitfalls of the rugged terrain This has so many features that you will not find in other phones.  It has secondary wide-angle casmera lens, wireless charging, fingerprint sensor, dual band Wi-FI and NFC. The NFC is a set of communication and protocols that enables 2 electronic devices, one of which is portable device like a smartphone to establish communication bringing them within 1.6 inches of each other. These are the reasons that set this phone apart from the others. The $408 Kyocera DuraForce Pro.gGives enough stability for it’s configurations and performance Tough looking phones are big, hefty and they do have black polycarbonate slabs. The Kyocera DuraForce Pro  does not deviate from these factors . What they did is to add curves on the back. They did place distinct textures and ridges on the plastic. It measures 5.8 x 9 x 2.05 inches and weighs 8.1 ounces.. The Kyocera DuraForce Pro.has 8 buttons that are located on the front and sides. Having said this, it makes navigating the smartphone effortless when the phone is wet and even when you are wearing your gloves. On the left side you will find a volume rocker. This is located on top of a red ridged button that can be programmed to used Verizon’s push to talk service  that can set in motion the applications that you want. On the right side you will find a power that can be used also as a fingerprint sensor. You don’t find this in most of the tough looking phones.
   The camera of the Kyocera DuraForce Pro.is located on the down side. You can take photos without much effort. It can be done in landscape or underwater mode. When it is under water the phone detects it immediately and disables the touch screen. This allows you to use the physical button to do the maneuvering. On the bottom of the smartphone, you will find a lanyard attachment loop. The lanyard is not included  on this phone, you will have to purchase one. There is also a micro USB charging port that is secured by a flap which has a rubber stopper. The audio jack on top of the edge is also covered by a comparable flap and right near it you will find a speaker button. In order to  gain access to the SIM, and microSD card slots you will have to peel off the back cover of the phone. You cannot remove the battery, this is unlike other tough looking phones.. The phone comes with a sharp 5 inch, 1920  x 1080 IPS LCD. It has backlit navigation buttons that are located at the bottom. The pixels stacked up on this phone gives a density of 441 pixels per inch. The text and images are so clear. It has good viewing angles and the outdoor visibility is perfect. The screen is secured by.Kyocera’s Sapphire Shield. It covers the glass with a secured layer of scratch proof sapphire. This phone is dust resistant and you can  bring it down with you to a 6.5 depth of water for at least half an hour. The Kyocera DuraForce Pro. has passed the  Military Standard 810G. This means that this phone is so sturdy. This kind of tests means that it has been tested for high altitudes, humidity, freezing rain, extreme temperatures  and other durability tests.

  
    The Kyocera DuraForce Pro.supports the important bands of Verizon and these are the following: GSM  850/900/1800 and 1900MHz. ( Global System for Mobile Communications ) it is a standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute to describe the protocols for 2nd generation ( 2G ) digital cellular networks used by mobile phones. It also supports UMTS 850/900/1900and 2100MHz.  UMTS means (  United Mobile Telecommunications System is a 3G networking standard used throughout  much of the world as an upgrade to GSM mobile networks ). The Kyocera DuraForce Pro. also lends support to it’s LTE  2/3/4/4/5/7/13 (  Long Term Evolution is a 4G mobile communications standard ). The network performance is excellent because it’s testing download speed o reachedf 74.7 Mbps. This phone has very good connectivity protocols that are not found on rough looking phones. It does possess dual band Wi-FI , Bluetooth 4.3 and NFC. The Kyocera DuraForce Pro  does not have the best processor. It uses the Snapdragon 617. It’s just a mid-level chipset that gives a modest score of 46,540 on the An Tu Tu test. This measures the overall performance. It has 3GB of RAM and that is one of the reason why this phone offers good performance. Multitasking can be done with this phone. The battery is a 3,240 mAh cell and it will last for 5 hours. The cameras located at the front and back can take good pictures. The Android 6.01 Marshmallow did some changes in it’s menu settings and the Dura Grid widget. With extra options, you can now pin several apps to your home screen easily. This phone comes with a 32GB of storage. With all the apps placed on this phone, you’ll have 20.0 GB left..
