Xiaomi Mi 5c

The Xiaomi Mi 5c has been launched last March 3 2017 in China. It is priced at 1500 yuan and the equivalent is $220 ( this is without  the usual shipping fees ). There are several websites that can assist you to ship this product to your doorstep. Just like Apple and Samsung, the Xiaomi Corporation has developed a new chipset called Surge 1. This was constructed in partnership with Beijing Pinecone Electronic and this company is also owned by Xiaomi. Xiaomi says that this new chipset will beat the Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 625. We just have to see it o believe it. I would classify this as a mid-range smartphone. it has 8 A53 Core cores and half of them  clocked in at 2.2 GHz and the other half clocked in at 1.4GHz. This means that the processor packs a lot of speed.. This chip which has 64 bits and is constructed from the HPC process  ( High Performance Computing – the use of parallel processing for running advanced application programs efficiently, reliably and quickly ). For graphics it uses the quad-core Mali-T8. This phone also supports voice over LTE HD calls and this also provides improved static and background noice-reduction capacity.
According to it’s CEO and co- founder, they want to develop their own chipsets. In a way, he is saying that he wants his company to be more innovative. Xiaomi wants to be knowledgeable with regards to the core technologies of their industry. They also want to continue the integration of their hardware with their software. I really don’t know whether they will share ( thru licensing ) their processor with other countries. My feeling is that they will not.
The main feature of it’s specifications is the Surge 1 chipset but it also comes with a 5.15 inch display, a 2560 x1600 resolution. This ensures the user that they will have sharp looking images on their phones. It has 3GB of RAM, It would have been better if it was 4GB of RAM. It has a 2.860mAh non- removable battery. This will last for a day. There is 64GB of storage. It has a 12 megapixel rear-facing camera which is good enough for taking good looking photos. The 5 megapixel camera can be used for taking selfies and the images will be fine looking. The Xiaomi Mi 5c has the latest Google mobile Operating System Android Nougat. The OS supports multi-tasking using several windows, a current Doze feature and reevaluted notifications. It uses it’s own Android Skin ( Mi User Interface ). This interface adds Xiaomi’s own applications. For a mid-range smartphone, this will suit those who are looking for a budget phone that works well.
