What Is Responsive Design and How Is It Beneficial

Responsive Web design is a design approach aimed at creating sites that uses flexible layouts, flexible images and cascading style sheet media queries. It gives you the most favorable viewing experience. The end result of this kind of design is that web pages can be detected on the visitor’s screen easily. It is called responsive because you can view it on a tablet, smartphone, laptop and desktop with clarity and it will fit in properly.  The layout will change itself accordingly to whatever screen size is being used.
There are many benefits that can be obtained by this kind of design :

1. Easy to build –   Creating this type of design is easy, because the development of this design takes less time.  It fits all types of devices. You don’t need to build a website specifically for your mobile website or for your desktop. It becomes a one for all type of design. With one website you enhance your business without consuming a lot of time.

2. Assures the user superior quality experience – Because it is easy to read and navigate, you can be sure that the user will not leave your site right away. What makes it really appealing is because everything is simplified. Reading is easy and so is navigating from page to page.  If your site is hard to use and everything seems so laborious, the user will leave your site and go to your rival’s site. You will definitely lose your client. You website is used to market your product, so you need to enhance it  When you have a website that provides superior quality experience, your visitors will keep on coming back to your website. It is because they liked what they experienced.

3.  Having a great seo – Search engine optimization is all about maximizing the number of visitors to your website. This is a process wherein your website should appear high up on the list of any search engine, especially Google. Your main goal is to get more traffic to your website.  You must integrate content with search engine optimization. Responsive web design makes it easier for Google to list your website  and make it show nearer to the top.  It doesn’t matter what configuration or format the user is searching from. Responsive Web design gives stronger backlinks and the bounce rates can be easily converted into higher search rankings. With a Responsive Web Design you will avoid duplicating your content.
4. Maintaining your website will not be costly– Because responsive design uses a standardized testing system, you are assured that you will have an optimal layout on every kind of screen. It will not benefit any person to have different desktop and mobile sites. If you do this, you will have two content strategies, two administrative interfaces and you probably have to hire two design teams. This will give you a lot of problems. Having a responsive design is the best because it fits into all types of devices. You can now devote more time to developing content and marketing.

5. Increase in Mobile traffic– At least fifty percent of traffic that go in to well-known websites come from mobile devices. It is a must for everyone who has a website that provides services or products to be visible on smaller screens. When I say visible, I mean that the website can fit into smaller screens so that the user will not encounter any problems. Responsive design has become the standard because of it’s adaptability and the development cost is lower.
