Acer Chromebook 14 For Work

The Acer Chromebook 14 For work was made for people who wear ties to their workplace. It’s a laptop for those who are engaged in business enterprises. For this particular model, you can only acquire this through Acer’s commercial sales channel. If you compare this with the ordinary Acer Chromebook you will notice distinct differences. This is obvious with is power and design. The ordinary Chromebook uses aluminum alloy for it’s framework, while the Acer Chromebook 14 For Work uses a Coirning Gorilla Glass top cover. The Acer Chromebook 14 For Work uses a 6th Generation Core i5 processor. The Acer Chromebook that you can buy in a Computer retail stores comes with an Core 3 processor. Because it contains 8GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, this model packs a lot of power and it could challenge any of it’s competitor. The only thing is that this particular Chromebook comes with a steep price of $750.  I think it would have been better for Acer to make this Chromebook affordable. The Gorilla Glass Cover looks so stunning on the Chromebook 14 For Work. There are very few laptops that have this. If you have smartphones, you will notice stains on your Gorilla Glass and you will have to clean it up. It is so smooth and that is the reason why you have to be careful. It can fall off from your hands. This is a sturdily built Chromebook that weighs 3.2 pounds. The 1920 x 1080  resolution is really bright. It’s 14 inch display really fits this Chromebook. Having a fine looking bezel highlights the large screen. I don’t like where the speakers are located. You can find them at the laptop’s base and the sound needs a bit of improvement.
The keyboard has backlights and large letters. You can use the keyboard in dimly lit areas or when you are travelling during night time. One of my concerns is that you have to hit a bit hard on the keys. The keyboard is water resistant. The Acer Chromebook 14 For Work’s touch pad is well placed in the center but again you have to press a bit harder. This Chromebook may cost more than it’s competitors but the specifications are fantastic. This is where it beats most of it’ s rivals. These are the complete specifications. It comes with a 2.3GHzIntel Core i5-6200U ( dual core, 3MB Intel Smart Cache and it can reach up to 2.8 GHz because of it’s Intel Burst Technology ). This Chrome book is equipped with an Intel HD Graphics 520 and an 8GB RAM LPDDR3 SDRAM.  This Chromebook has a dull Full HD Widescreen IPS LED-backlit display. It has several ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C, 2 USB 3.0, HDMI with HDCP support, SD card reader and headphone/microphone jack. It comes with 802.11acWIFI connectivity that features a 2x2 MIMO Technology ( Dual-Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz ), Bluetooth 4.2.  The Acer Chromebook 14 For Work It has a 1280 x 720 HD webcam with 88 degree wide angle lens that augments it’s high dynamic range.  It weighs 3.2 pounds and it has a size 13.03 x 8.94 x0.88 inches.
Despite it’s price, this is still a very good Chromebook. It has good battery life that can last over 9 hours. The Chromebook is classy and performs very well. I can’t say anything about the configurations because it is very good. You can get  n ordinary Acer Chromebook 14 that will cost you $350 that has an Intel Celeron 3885U processor, an HD screen display ( 1336 x 768 ) 4GB of RAM and 16GB storage but this won’t be enough if you are using it for business. You can go for the ChromeBook Pixels Kit  which is almost the same as the model described. It has the same Core i5 processor. It also comes with a 5th generation Haswell chip, 8GB of RAM32GB of storage, an additional USB-C port  and a really sharp  2560 x 1700 touchscreen display. I believe that this is overpriced at $1000.. I would not go for the additional features. The Acer Chromebook 14 For Work is just right for the businessman who is on the go.
