Asus Chromebook C302

The Asus Chromebook C302 has very good features and it’s a bit futuristic in the sense that it can run future android apps that Chrome is about to make for it’s OS. This is because of it’s touchscreen support and convertible design. Chromebooks are meant for internet usage and that is why you will notice that the storage has about 64 GB only.  You can do a lot of things with it but I would not suggest downloading a lot of stuff because filling your hard drive up can cause your laptop to slowdown. There are two models that are available the $450 model and the $500 model. I would prefer the latter one. Just add $50 and you get the following specifications. It has a 0.99 processor Intel Core m3-6y360 processor ( dual core, 4mB cache up to 2.2 GHz ), an Intel Graphics 515, 4GB of RAM LPDDR3. The screen is 12.5  inch FHD ( 1920 x 1080 ) and it has a LED anti backlit glare. The storage is 64GB MMC plus TPM. It has 2 USB 3.1 ports Type-C ( Gen 1 ), microSD card reader, headset jack. It uses the Intel 2x2 802.11ac for internet connectivity and it has a Bluetooth 4.2. The Camera is a 720p webcam. It weighs 2.6 pounds. The size is 13 x 9 x 0.9 inches
The Asus Chromebook C302’s framework is all aluminum that has an anodized finish. This is a process that converts aluminum surface into a strong, decorative corrosion-resistant anodic oxide finish. It is so nice to look at. It is so well-aligned when it folds up. This hybrid has a 2 piece hinge mechanism that makes it look like an ordinary notebook. This unibody laptop has well rounded corners, straight edges, a 0.9 inch slim frame that makes this a very attractive notebook. The design was made so that you can use it as a tablet. It comes with a magnetic grip that pulls the lid tight against the underneath part of the notebook. It has a well- built keyboard and it is so comfortable to use. The trackpad gives you precise tracking but it does not have multitouch features. You can do a 2 finger scrolling with it.
The C302 does not have access to the playstore. In order to gain access to the playstore, the user must shift over to the Chrome OS Beta channel to download the apps. This is just a small bump off the road. This hybrid is fully equipped to go straight into the Android ecosystem.  Ecosystems are product platform designed by core components made by the platform owner and complemented by applications made by autonomous companies in the periphery. You can swipe and tap into your frequently used apps. The Asus Chromebook C302 has gyroscopes that allow you to play motion like games. Gyroscope is one of 3 sensors used by Androids. The other 2 sensors are the magnetic and acceleration sensors. In combination with the acceleration sensor, the gyroscope can develop other sensors like gravity, linear, acceleration or rotation sensors. The Core m3 processor on this hybrid performs better and faster than the Celeron processor. You can do simultaneous works on this notebook like browsing, opening a dozen tabs and playing music. The battery has a lifespan of 10 hours.  If you do heavy work on it, it will still last for almost 8 hours. I am satisfied with this. The screen resolution is not so sharp but because of this you have 2 more hours of extra battery life. That works well for me. The photos and text look extremely good. The Asus Chromebook C302 speakers are loud and good enough to play music. If you are looking for a Chromebook, the Asus Chromebook C302 is worth considering.
