The Huawei Mate 9 smartphone comes with a lot of power
packed into it. Huawei is the world’s 3rd largest smartphone
manufacturer. Their goal is to be ranked number 2 by the end of 2018. Whether,
they will reach that position is still a question mark. Here are the
specifications of the Huawei Mate 9: This smartphone measures 6.18 x 3.1 x 0.31
inches and weighs 190 grams. It has a screen size of 5.9 inches and a native resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
For this smartphone, Huawei uses it’s own processor known as Hisilicon Kirin 960. Huawei Mate
9 has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of SSD, 4000mAh battery, a Dual 20MP camera that has
12MP sensors and a 8MP front camera. This smartphone is Daydream VR ready and
this is probably the reason why it placed a powerful processor inside this smartphone.
I am not sure if it is the best phone to use for Google’s VR platform. This is
because it does not have a 2k display. The Huawei Mate 9 was built to last. This
is why Huawei has placed it’s own MLA ( Machine Learning Algorithm ) in this phone. Having
this in your phone assures you that your phone will be faster as it ages. This
smartphone has so many divergent functions that the user can tweak. Huawei
claims that the MLA in this phone gives 20% increase in smoothness of
performance, 50% increase in system response and a 20% boost to the graphics
read and write speed. The Huawei Mate 9 costs $600.
The Huawei Mate 9has a full metal design. It does
not look attractive at all. Huawei built this phone to perform and not for it’s
outer looks. This phone is quite large . There is more screen on this phone
when comparing it to other rival phones. You will find a fingerprint scanner on
the back side beneath the Leica dual-lens camera. There is something peculiar
about this phone. If you placed the phone on a table, you need to unlock the
phone by picking it up or press the power button. You can use your PIN to
unlock the phone. At the lowest part you will see two speaker grilles. The
sounds on these speakers are good and reliable. You can also find a USB Type
C-slot ( between the 2 speakers ) at the
bottom. On the topmost part of the phone ( right hand side ) you will find a
3.5mm headphone jack. There is also a power button located on the right hand
edge. The Huawei Mate 9 comes with a full HD panel and it has good viewing
angles. This smartphone comes with the Emotion UI 5. It is so much alike the
Android Nougat 7.0. The phone has a lot of unneeded apps on this phone. There
are also a lot of very useful software on this phone too. If you don’t like the
added bloatware on this phone, simply uninstall it. You can watch a bit of videos
on this phone and the quality is quite good.
This smartphone can be used to play games regular or intensive. This is
where the battery becomes so useful because of it’s long life.
The Huawei Mate 9
performs quite well, but it is not the best smartphone available as claimed by
Huawei .The battery can last the user for a full day, if used intensively. If
you do not use it on a regular basis then the battery can last for almost two
days. The Huawei Mate 9 has a 20MP monochrome sensor for it’s rear camera and a
12MP color sensor for it’s front camera. The monochrome sensor gives out more
detailed results. This is based on the idea when the mono image is combined
with the color image, the result is a clear and well detailed picture. The Huawei
Mate 9 rear camera does a splendid job at this. This camera can also record
video. The front camera performs well using it’s color sensor. The details are
not well defined when pictures are taken in the dark or at night time. Having said
that,if you are not fussy over the design, the Huawei Mate 9 will just be right
for anyone who likes performance and battery life.

average of 98 percent. The display dishes out 239 nits and this is below the
category average of of 302 nits. The HP EliteBook 1030 G1 has wide viewing
angles. This particular ultrabook has a nicely built design. I would consider
it a show-off design. It comes with a nice silver color. The aluminum deck and
lid has a very a nice touch to it. This particular notebook has a nice thin
bezel and well-polished sloping edges. This is what makes this EliteBook
attractive. The HP EliteBook 1030 G1 has a complete set of ports and slots. On
the left side, you find a a security lock, HDMI port, USB 3.0 port, a data only
USB Type-C port. On the right side you will find the power port. The headphone jack,

of important substance. The HP EliteBook 1030 G1also comes with the HP Sure
START technology and it will protect any attack intended on the System’s BIOS.
The keyboard is pleasant because the keys are very responsive. The keys make-up
for the shortage of travel on the keyboard.. The average is 1.5 mm while this
ultrabook ticks at 1.4 mm.. The touchpad has a measurement of 3.6 x2.1 inches and
delivers precise tracking while
navigating is going on. The Audio speakers are located on top of the HP
EliteBook 1030 G1 keyboard’s deck. The sounds coming out from the speakers are
of good quality.
This particular
configuration can handle a moderately large amount of multitasking. In the
Geekbench 3 performance test, this ultrabook produced 5,739 points and it is
just above the category average of 5,523 points. The 256GB SSD is quite fast
and it can transfer 4.97GB of files in 35 seconds. It records a transfer rate of 145MBps. It
still does not match the category average of 173.01 MBps. In the OpenOffice
Macro test, this ultrabook managed to finish matching names in 4 minutes and 32
seconds. It is faster than the category average of six minutes and thirty
twoseconds. On the Storm Unlimited graphics test the HP EliteBook 1030 G1
scored 59,071 points and it is above the category average of 51,805 points. The 0.9 megapixel camera is good for taking
selfie shots and the other details are bearable. The Battery life is good for
about nine hours. Just remember that this is a business notebook and I
personally would not use this UltraBook for intensive gaming purposes.
The Lenovo Thinkpad
T560 is one of the best business laptops that is out in the market. There are
several reasons why this laptop is outstanding. It was built with a lot
strength ( the body is durable ). It delivers strong performance and it has a
very responsive keyboard. The configuration on this article will cost $1,290
dollars and it standard model cost $810. These are the specifications of the
model described herein: The Operating system is Windows 10 Pro and the
processor is a Core 15-6300U. The RAM is 8GB and it can be upgraded to 32GB. It
has 256GB of SSD. The display measurement is 15.6 inches. It has a full HD
resolution ( 1920 x 1080 ). This laptop
has a a 128MB video memory. It carries an 802.11 b/g/n/ ac WI-FI Intel Dual
Band Wireless- AC 8260 model. This laptop comes with a touchpad that measures
3.9 x 2.2 inches. The size of this laptop is 14.98 x 10.16 x 0.88 inches. The
weight will depend on your battery size. If you opt for a 3 cell battery, your
laptop will weigh 4.8 pounds. A 6 cell
battery will increase it’s weight to 5.2 pounds
Lenovo does
not change colors and sticks to the same black color like it’s previous
predecessors . You can find a bright red color because of it’s status light and
trackpoint nub. This laptop is not light and you can check the specifications on
the first paragraph. I personally would advise users to get the 6 cell battery
because it increases the staying power of this laptop. The Lenovo Thinkpad T560
was constructed from polypphenylene sulfide on it’s lid and deck. The bottom is made glass-fiber-reinforced
plastic bottom. According To Lenovo, this particular laptop has gone through the
MIL-SPEC durability benchmark tests for very high temperatures, shocks, dust
and vibrations. This particular laptop according to Lenovo passed all of these
tests. The Lenovo Thinkpad T560 comes with a Trusted Platform Module ( TPM ).
It keeps your hard drive and Bios pass word protected. This is only available
if you choose the i5 -6300U processor or higher. The Lenovo Thinkpad T560 has a
spill resistant keyboard. The keys are nicely curved and it allows ample travel
time. The keyboard has shortcut keys for the calculator app, web browser, file
explorer and screen lock. It has a track pointing stick just in between the G
and H keys. The nub allows you to navigate precisely. It is also useful for
highlighting, clicking on a really small icon. I still prefer using the 3.9 x
2.2- inch buttonless touchpad. The touchpad is so nice to use because there are
no drawbacks to it. The Lenovo Thinkpad T560 Full HD non-touch display on this
configuration has wide viewing angles and precise colors. This display delivers
a tolerable 71% of color gamut. It is still below the category average of 89%.
You can purchase also other models that come with a 1920 x 1080 touch screen panel,
a 1336 x 768 non-touch standard model and 2880 x 1620 non-touch display panel.
The audio speakers are just rightly tuned for listening and enjoying a bit of
music. The 720p webcam is at level with those of other business laptops.
The Lenovo Thinkpad
T560 has several ports. On the laptop’s right side you will find 2 USB 3.0 ports,
a miniDisplay port and a Kensington lock slot. On the left side you will find
you will find a smart card reader, an Ethernet port, an SD card reader, a 3.5mm
audio jack, an HDMI-out port and a 3rd USB 3.0 connector. The
configuration mentioned here delivers a very good performance and it can do
much more than just productivity and multitasking. On the Geekbench 3 test that
measures overall performance, this laptop had a score of 6,210 points, a bit below
the category average of 7,265 points. This particular model was able copy
4.97GB of mixed media files having a rate of 181.76 MBps. It is much faster than
the category rate of 130MBps.The 6 cell Battery is a $15 dollar option but it
can last for at least twenty hours .Using a 3 cell battery will bring it down
to 10.hours and that is still laptop category average of 6 hours and thirteen
minutes. This is a good laptop to acquire but it is not suitable for gaming
purposes. This laptop was released in 2016 and it might cause a bit cheaper now.
The Fujitsu
Lifebook E736 is a business laptop that commands a high price. This is good for
those who are in business and who would not mind spending money. For a laptop
of this size, it has a lot of capacity in it. According to Fujitsu, this laptop
delivers very good functionality and a great looking design. The manufacturer
is just trying to tell the buyers that they built this laptop without compromises.
It is not as slim like it’s competitors but it has a complete assembly of
connectors and elements inside this laptop worth considering. The Fujitsu
Lifebook E736 can also be called an Ultrabook. It manages to put in 32GB of RAM
despite this being a 13.3 inch laptop. The Top of the line model is the one
featured in this article. Here are the main specifications: ( 1 ) Intel Core
i7-6600U processor ( 4MB cache, .6GHz standard frequency that can reach as much
as 3.4.GHz ). ( 2 ) Intel HD Graphics
530 ( 300 MHz standard frequency and it can
reach a limit of 1.05GHz frequency ( 3 ) 32GB
DDR4-2133 RAM. ( 4 ) 13.3 inch full HD
IGZO ( Indium gallium Zinc Oxide ) Display Screen. ( 4 ) 256GB OPAL FDE SATA 3 SSD with complete disk
encryption. ( 5 ) 2 x audio ports (
microphone/headphone ), 2 x digital microphones, 3 x USB 3.0 ports, VGA port,

20mm. There is a port replicator and 2 batteries that adds up to 100 Whr (
9.3Ah with 12 cells ). This particular
model will cost $1,920. Check out for discounts because this has been in the
market for quite a time. You can also choose another model that comes with an
Intel Core-17-6500U processor. Let go of the extra battery, 24GB of memory and
port replicator. The SSD drive will be doubled. Doing this will lower the price
level to $1,330.
The Fujitsu Lifebook E736 has a full HD
Resolution ( 1920 x 1080 pixels ) and has a contrast ratio of 1000:1. It’s brightness level is 330 cd/m2. This
laptop comes with a matte ( dull )
finish. The colors are vivid and not overdone. Fujitsu must have realized the
high cost of this laptop and this could be the reason why it came out with a
high-quality design. It must have wanted to catch the attention of it’s
prospective buyers. This laptop features gunmetal lid which has it’s famous S
logo and a red border that goes from one side to the other. It has a metal palm
rest and it is well polished. Unlike other laptops, the display on the Fujitsu
Lifebook E736 can be made to lay back. I find this of no use at all. There are
two hinges that are attached to the base. The keys on the keyboard have a soft
touch and it has a more than average travel. It has a large touchpad and two
physical buttons.. You can find a fingerprint reader on the palm rest. There
are also two small speakers that don’t have much depth, five status lights, the
power, WI-FI on and off plus Eco mode buttons. These amenities are all located
on top of the first row of keys.
This laptop has a
lot of power packed into it. This is what makes the Fujitsu Lifebook E736 a
standout. The Fujitsu Lifebook E736 performed extremely well in this array of
benchmark tests: ( 1 ) 3D Mark: Skydiver-3,979 points, Fire Strike-956 points,
Cloud Gate-5,883 points, Ice Storm-57,959 points, Ice Storm Extreme-42,279
points. ( 2 ) PCMark 8 Home-2,931 points ( 3 ) PCMark 8 Creative-2,810 points. (
4 ) PCMark 8 Work- 3,247 points. ( 5 ) CineBench: OpenGL- 45.46fps: CPU-341
points. Geekbench: Single Core-3,710 points, Multi core-7,503 points. With full
usage of the laptop, the battery can last for twelve hours. This laptop comes
with a price but considering everything, this is a real good laptop.
Asus has clearly
defined it’s image in computer technology world and it wants to be up there
with the big boys. With the Asus ZenPad 3S 10 , Asus wants to stay up there

ZenPad cost $300.
The design has a 4:3 display and that is
what makes this tablet distinct from it’s competitors. The Asus ZenPad 3S 10 is
a good-looking tablet. It’s metal body is rather striking. I like the way the
bezels are cut on the corners. The edges on this tablet have very fine curves and
that is why it is so pleasant to hold in your hands. On the top right corner of
this tablet, the user can locate the volume and power buttons. You can see also
see the home button and it can be used also as a fingerprint scanner. There are
two capacitive buttons that can be used for multitasking. On the top most point
of the Asus ZenPad 3S 10, you will find a 3.5mm headphone socket and at the
bottom you can find a USB Type-C port and NXP amp stereo speakers. The IPS screen
on this tablet is it’s best feature. It delivers solid punches when it comes to
images, color reproduction and fascinating contrast. This is all due to the
VisualMaster technology of Asus. The viewing angles are really good. The audio
on this tablet give out a solid performance and this is because of the
AudioWizard app. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow 6.0 comes with the ZenUI 3.0 and
it has an app called Mobile Manager. This app has settings that will allow the
user to control apps. The Power Saver menu gives the user a series of battery
modes. You can preserve the battery life or put more speed.to it.
This is how The Asus ZenPad 3S 10 performed in several
tests. In the Geekbench 4 test, this tablet had a score of 3,270 and this is
above the category average score of 2,994. This tablet had a score of 14,124 on the
3DMark Ice Storm Gaming Benchmark. This is a bit below the category average of
15,504. The Asus ZenPad 3S 10 took only 2 minutes and 52 seconds when
transcoding a 1080 video to 480p in Vidtrim. This is above the average 8.23
seconds. In the JetStream JavaScript benchmark test, this tablet scored 57.7
and it was above the average of 49.2. This tablet needed only 7 seconds to secondary cameras can take
good enough pictures but the contrast on these cameras fell short of my expectations
and the video suffers from the same problem. The battery life is good for 8 hours. The Asus ZenPad 3S 10 delivers a good performance. It has good sounds that makes
this tablet desirable for watching videos and multitasking.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is what I call a futuristic
tablet. It is the first tablet to come out with an HDR ( High Dynamic Range )

other thing that makes this tablet a good buy is it’s S Pen. It comes with the
tablet and you do not need to purchase it: Here are the following
specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. The measurement of the body is
9.34 x 6.85 x 0.34 inches ) and it has a Nano

The Samsung Galaxy
Tab S3 is a lot better looking than it’s forerunner. It has a premium design because
it was built with glass and metal. It really looks classy. Hold this tablet and
you will feel at ease and comfortable. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Is slimmer
than it’s more high-end competitor. The HDR Display is the real deal with this
tablet. It heightens up the contrast ratio and the four speakers. sounds are
much better than the other tablets out there in the market. With the HDR on
this tablet, it’s like you are present and watching a real movie scene take. I
mean everything seems more realistic. This is the future of videos and Samsung
has made it a reality. The resolution on this tablet gives the user higher
contrast ratios and more illuminated highlights. The four speakers on this tablet
are more powerful than it’s predecessor. It has been modified to adjust to your
movements. If you move around the tablet, the speakers will adjust to the
changes. This means you will always hold it the right way. These are AKG tuned speakers
. The S Pen is bigger than those of the Note phones, tablets and Chromebooks.
It comes in a flat design and has a clip. Having a clip means it will not get
away from you by sliding or rolling away. It’s a lot better for the user to buy
the keyboard, this is if you want to have the full capabilities of having a 2 –
in – 1 tablet. You will have the full tools that the S Pen needs, like Notes,
Smart Select, Screen Write and others. The Keyboard looks a bit tight, but it
is quite usable and the travel is relatively good.
This tablet comes with the
new Samsung Experience software which any user can handle easily. It is useful
for navigating. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 runs an Android 7.0 Nougat. If you
want entertainment this is the tablet that will suit your needs. Watching
movies, music and games will be delightful. You’ll have full realistic colors. The
QualComm SoC ( System on a chip ) that this tablet has packs a lot of power. It
can play 3D games easily. For productivity, it a very good tablet to acquire.
The primary camera on this tablet is a 13MP camera that has autofocus, an f/1.9
aperture plus a flash, For a tablet it gives you good quality pictures. It has
gesture control and 4k video recording. The 5MP camera with a f/2.2 aperture is
good enough and can be used for video chats. It has a low- light performance
and you can’t use it in dimly lit areas. I hope Samsung can improve on this.
The battery life can last for at least 8 hours.. With this on mind, This is a good tablet
to acquire because of it’s performance and productivity. It is good for users
who want to look into the future.

the effects of hand shaking while taking pictures. It has high dynamic range
that enhances brightness and color contrast. The front 8 megapixel camera is
good for taking selfies and videos too. The pictures on this smartphone are
good. It could have been better if only
the manufacturers exerted more effort.
The ZTE Axon 7 has
a lot of speed. You can use it with a lot of apps, do multitasking and it will
not bog down. This smartphone did quite well in two benchmark tests. In the Antutu test, it had a score of 142,672.
In the Geekbench 4 single core test, this smartphone had a score of 1,694.
These scores are above the normal averages. If you are talking about performance, this smartphone
does it’s job. The battery on the ZTE Axon 7 is bigger than some of the
smartphones out there. The battery can last for at least a day. If you are
going to use it intensively for games and streaming then the hours will be
reduced. For the price and performance,
this a good smartphone to acquire.

The Moto G5 Plus has an all metal-aluminum body finish. It has a larger screen than it’s
predecessors. The Moto G5 Plus looks very strong This smartphone looks good for
an affordable phone. It has the Moto branding between the earpiece and display.
The fingerprint sensor is located underneath the. There are chrome accents on
the front and back of the large screen. It has a rounded housing on the back
part of the camera and the dual Led flash. The logo is engraved on this
smartphone. Though the Moto G5 Plus is 7.7mm thick, it thickness gives the user
a good grip on the smartphone. The screen does a good job when you watch videos,
movies and when you play games. I would not recommend playing intensive games
on this smartphone. Viewing angles are good. There is a color mode that you can
use. You can set it to standard or vibrant color reproduction. The cameras on
this smartphone are very good. The front camera will work well in dim areas. The rear camera has a feature called
autofocus. This lets you lock in quickly. It has an 8x digital zoom and a nice view finder. The colors are

only 12 hours. The turbo charging on this smartphone is very useful. The Moto G5 Plus is one of the best phone at
it’s level. For the price, there might
be some people eager to get their hands on this smartphone.

spreadsheets, research and other stuff that is needed for your business. If
you hear a bit of sound from the ultrabook, you can go to the BIOS and change
the fan control. Just put it to normal mode and that will resolve the issue. My advice is not to play games with this
ultrabook. The battery lfe is good for 6 hours.
This is a good ultrabook to use for business. Maybe there is a bargain
price for this ultrabook since this was released in 2015.
The Acer Chromebook 15 is the biggest Chromebook that has
come out and it’s from Acer. It
comes with a 5th generation
processor. Although it is rather large when you compare it to other Chromebooks,
the price remains affordable at $350. You might get this at a slightly lower
price now since this came out in the year 2015. These are the specifications of
this budget machine. The processor is a 1.5GHz Intel Celeron 3205u ( dual core,
2MB cache ). It uses Intel HD graphics.

This Chromebook
looks quite sturdy and the Taiwanese based manufacturer did a wonderful job of
using more durable plastic. The plastic exterior is covered in a net-like
texture. The whole laptop has the same type of finish. It includes the lid,
bottom and the back of the screen hinges. This just means that you’ll have more
grip on this budget machine. It has a well fabricated finish. It’s so nice to
hold on to. When you open the laptop you will see the huge 15.6 screen and it
deflects reflections or glare. Acer has a name for this and they call it
Comfyview antiglare display. Below the display, you will notice a spacious
keyboard deck. This means that you will have a large size keyboard. There is no
number pads but instead you’ll find two big speakers. On the bottom you will see a large trackpad.
The Acer Chromebook 15 The audio on this Chromebook is reliable and the sounds
are good. The keyboard has island style
keys. The keyboard offers good spacing
and it feels nice to type on. The portraits taken from the 720p webcam are
clear. Because you are using a Google OS, you’ll have all the google apps
available to you.
The Acer Chromebook
15 processor is so fast and you will not have any problem opening pages, tabs

Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom
is the second Zoom phone to come out from the company. If you are in to
photography and you really like good images, then you might consider this
smartphone. It is built exceptionally well and this is because the
specifications of the smartphone are really very good. The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom
comes with a 5.5 inch AMOLED display 1920 x1080 pixels a 2.06GHz Qualcomm
Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, Adreno 506

Li-Ion battery with quick charging and reverse charging. The OS used in this smartphone is an Android
6.0 Marshmallow w/ Zen UI 3.0. The measurements are 154.3 x 77 x 7.99mm. The
weight is 170 grams. The price of this phone is estimated to be at $500.
The design on this
phone is quite different from the Zenfone released in 2015. It is not heavy
despite of it’s larger battery. The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom looks chic and slim. It is more
appealing than the Zenfone 3 Max. It was designed to match the beauty of the
higher standard smartphones. The front side features the 5.5 inch display and
the receiver is on top of it near the 13MP selfie camera, notifications and
sensors. On the down part you can see 3 unlit capacitive keys that can be used
for navigating. The front side is secured because it has a Gorilla 5 glass. The right side has the volume rocker, power
and lock button. It is made of metal and the texture and it has a firm touch.
On the left side you can find the hybrid SIM tray that can house 2 nano sized
SIM cards. It could even be a nanoSIM or a microSD card. Right on the top, you
can spot the microphone and down below there is a 3.5 mm audio port, main
microphone, USB C port and a loudspeaker. On the backside of the smartphone is
the 12MP camera, the Laser AF module, dual-LED flash. The finger print scanner
is located at the center. There are also glossy antennas on the top and bottom
corners. The backside has a matte black but refined fish and it has a good
grip. This smartphone can be held with just one hand and the nice thing about
it is that it is not heavy. Sporting a 5.5 inch screen with full HD resolution,
the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom has a 401ppi
pixel density. The AMOLED dis play gives you vivid colors and wider viewing
angles.
The best feature of
this smartphone are it’s dual cameras on
the back that comes with a setup with 12 MP sensors. The two cameras are not
the same. On the first one you have a Sony IMX 362 sensor with a color
correction ( RGB Sensor ), f/17
aperture, 25mm focal length, 4 axis OIS, 3 axis EIS. It supports 4k video
recording and it has the ASUS Tritech + AF system and it includes Dual Pixel
PDAF, 2nd GEN Laser AF and Contrast Detect AF. The second camera has
a Samsung 3M3 sensor, f/26 aperture, It has 2.3x optical zoom and is adequate
to reach up to 12x digital zoom, It has a 59mm focal length and uses a Contrast
Detect AF. They perform differently. The Zenfone Zoom uses the Sony sensor and
the Samsung zoom camera can be used when you are shooting at long distances and
close up macros. Both cameras gives you vibrant images. The front camera is
good for selfies and you will be amazed at the results. The performance of this
smartphone is excellent. It’s so nice to
use and does not lag behind when you are using it. In full use, the battery can last you for at least 24
hours. The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is really
a good smartphone and it’s good for all the photo buffs out there.
The Acer Aspire S13 is not the slimmest of all notebooks but
it performs quite well and the price can swing a lot of users to buy it. The entry
level will cost as much as $600. There is another model that is priced at $750.
This notebook comes in two colors Obsidian Black and Pearl White. The Obsidian black
is the color of the lower models, while the color of it’s top of the line model
is Pearl White. What is mentioned here
is the high end model that cost $1000 and has the following configurations: The
top of the line model comes with a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7-6500u ( dual-core, 4MB
cache, up to 3.1 GHz with Turbo Boost ). For Graphics purposes it has an
installed Intel HD Graphics 520. It has 8GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM. The screen is a
13.3 inch 1920 x 1080 anti-glare LED-backlit IPS touchscreen display It has
speaker grills that are facing downwards. The Acer Aspire S13 has 512GB SSD. It
has a 45 Wh battery. The Operation System is Windows 10 and it has Windows
Office 365. There are several ports 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI, SD
card reader, and headphone/microphone jack. For connectivity purposes, It uses
a 802.11ac WI-FI and it comes with a 2x2 Mu-MIMO technology ( Dual Band 2.4 GHz
and 5 GHz ) plus Bluetooth 4.0. The camera is a 720p webcam. It weighs 3
pounds. The size of this notebook is 12.87 x 8.98 x 0.57 inches.
By design you cannot
say it is a high end notebook. It looks like a budget laptop. Everyone likes
the well-polished aluminum type. This is probably because of the ridged texture
of the plastic lid. It has very thin pinstripes that you will not notice. The
engraved texture that’s on this notebook gives you more grip on it. I personally do not believe that the coating
is made of aluminum but it is unwrinkled and even. The other parts of this notebook are nice.
The sides have been nicely tapered off. Having the sides tapered allows the
sound to be clearly heard. The keyboard and touchpad are nice to work with. The
best feature in this notebook is it’s 13.3 matte touchscreen. Use this notebook
anywhere and there won’t be any reflection. There may be times that you might
have to increase it’s brightness. It has the BlueShield Technology. This is
good because you won’t strain your eyes. The matte screen will assure you that
you won’t have fingerprint stains on it.
The Acer Aspire S13
is really fast because of it’s storage and the Core i7 processor it uses. You
can stream videos from any service providers like Google or Netflix and there
won’t be any problem. Webpages and Applications will load up quickly. The
manufacturer says that the battery life will last for 13 hours. It does not, the
battery life is good for about 8 hours.
In the 3D Mark: Cloud test it scored 5,885; Sky Diver 3,569, Fire Strike; 816.
Using the Cinebench CPU test the Acer Aspire S13 scored 31cb; Graphics 41.43
fps. In the PC Mark 8 Home test this notebook had a score 2,771. In the
Geekbench 3 Single Core test the Acer Aspire S13 had a score of 3,247. In the
Multi-Core test the score was 6,884. The
tests show that the Acer Aspire S13 did considerably well. Acer did cut down on
the design but I believe what stands out here is it’s performance. Since this notebook was released in 2016,
maybe the price is lower now. Why not find out if you can get it at a bargain.
The Fujitsu
Stylistic R726 hybrid 2-in-1 laptop/ tablet has their eyes set on business customers.
It’s one of the Original Equipment Manufacturers
( OEM ) that builds it’s equipment in it’s home ground. In the case of the R726, it was not built in
Japan but in Germany. The model that is discussed here is the Core i7 model
that costs $1610. This comes with an optional docking station that cost $147. This
does not include the Value Added Tax. The entry level of this hybrid is a Core
i3 that cost $875 and it also has a i5 model. The Fujitsu Stylistic R726 uses a
Windows 10 Pro and has a kickback stand. It comes with a detachable keyboard.
It has a 12.5 inch display and a resolution 1920 x 1080 touchscreen. The Pixel
Density is 176 PPI and the aspect ratio is 16.9. The resolution on this hybrid
is fairly bright. It uses the Intel Graphics 520. It comes with an Intel Core-
i7-660U dual core processor. The Processor cache is 4MB and it uses a 4-cell
34Whr lithium battery. The memory has a 8GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM. The RAM speed is
1600 MHz and it has 2 DIMM slots. The measurement of this hybrid is 12.55 x 7.91
x 0.37 ( inches ). It weighs 2.58 pounds. The Fujitsu Stylistic R726 has 512 of
SSD storage. It has rear and front cameras, a USB 3.0 port, one Mini DP port, a
microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and GPS.
The body is built
using both magnesium and aluminum. The rear part is color grey and this is
where you can spot the number 8 logo. It has a bigger than average bezel. You can
see quite a number of air vents on this laptop/notebook. The digital stylus pen is optional, The Fujitsu Stylistic R726
comes with a kickstand that can go as far as 90 degrees from it’s placed
position. This hybrid will give you a maximum typing angle of 45 degrees when
you are using it on your desk. If you are quite tall, you might have to raise
the screen so you can type with comfort. The touchpad is small but it has a nice feeling when you touch it. The hinge mechanism is
sturdy. The Keyboard attaches magnetically to the tablet. The island style
keyboard will give you a nice typing experience because it provides the user a good
amount of time travel. You will feel a positive reaction when typing on the
keys.
The speed of the Core
i7 processor on this model is 4% faster than the average i7 processor. Because
of Intel’s turbo boost technology, the speed automatically increases by 0.8 GHz in circumstances when it needs extra processing power. It has a dual core processor
and that means it can give provide power to multiple applications. This is a
hybrid laptop that is not meant for gaming. Fujitsu says that the battery can
last for almost 10 hours. To be fair to the users, The Fujitsu Stylistic R726
battery will last for 8 hours on my estimate. Since it is 2017, You can look
around for a good bargain price.
The Lenovo Ideacentre
AIO 700 is a good looking desktop computer. It looks stylish and has
well-pointed corners and bent speaker grilles. The stand is V-shaped and it is
quite densed. The matt white finish will not appeal to all users. It still doesn’t
make this desktop less appealing. The screen can be easily attached to the
stand. You can use the thumbscrews for attaching purposes. The bezels are a bit
big for this 23.8 inch screen. You can find the best angles that you want because
there is a lot of back and forth tilt to it. Just choose the angle that is best
for your seating position. The processor is a Quad-core 2.7GHz Intel Core 15-6400 and
it comes with a processor socket LGA 1151. It comes with 8GB of RAM DDR4 and it
can be expanded to 16GB. The Lenovo Ideacentre AIO 700 has several ports: 2 USB
3 on the front and the rear has 2 3 USB2
and 2 x USB 3, HDMI. For connectivity purposes it carries a 1 x 10/100//1000 Ethernet,
802.11ac WI-FI. It has an all in one type of case and d the dimensions are
461x579x110mm. It has 2TB of hard disk drive storage, an SDcard reader. The Lenovo
Ideacentre AIO 700 has a 2GB NVidia GeForce 930A graphics card. This computer
has an HDMI port for graphics /video ports, 1.35 mm headset that can be used
for sound card outputs and integrated speakers. The Display Resolution 1920x1080 resolution and the display is a 23.8 integrated touchscreen. It has
a HDMI for it’s inputs. It uses the
Lenovo Accutype keyboard and the Lenovo Wireless Mouse. The Lenovo Ideacentre
AIO 700 comes with an Intel RealSense camera. The Operating System is Windows
10. This computer costs $1300. There's a big probability that you can acquire this computer at a lower price now.
The Lenovo Ideacentre
AIO 700 HD screen lacks a bit of depth and images are not that vivid. It is
good enough for browsing, business work and for practical purposes. In terms of
quality it’s just as good as a budget monitor. It is better than some of the
computers that have the same price level. The contrast ratio is just quite low and
this is the reason why it lacks details. For the price, it’s still a good
catch, as long as you are not involved in photography work. If that is the case then you’ll have to get
an external monitor that has a higher resolution. The speakers are loud enough.
You can disable the pre-installed enhancements on the Dolby audio software if
you do not like the sounds you are hearing. Switching to the EQ setting will
solve your problems. The wireless mouse performs quite well. You’ll have a bit
of problem with the keyboard but after some time, you will be able to adjust to
it. It has curved-like keys that are quite convenient to use. When you
familiarize yourself with these keys, you can type on them for a long time.
With the kind of specs that this computer has, the Lenovo Ideacentre AIO 700 will perform strongly. It can do intensive
works like photo editing. In the Image rendering test it got a score of 90 and
that is close to superior and 92 in the video rendering test. Because it has two Terabytes of storage hard
disk, this computer is a fast runner. The graphics on this computer uses a slower
end card but it can do the job except I would not play intensive games using
this computer. This computer uses RealSense camera. In the box you will find a
card which you can use to enter Intel’s website via the key on the card. Once you
are inside the site, you can download an array of software that you might need
for this camera. The downside of this computer is the screen. The upside to
this computer is it’s processing, a lot of connectivity and useful peripherals. There is no upgrade for it’s
internal elements. This is still a good computer to use.
Microsoft has
shocked the computer technology world with the release of the Microsoft Surface
Studio. It is so large and the design is so daring. The screen of this computer
can bend to as much as 20 degrees. It reinvents the way computers are used. The
entry price is $3000. What we have here is the top of the line configuration that
cost $4200. The main configurations are the following: 2.7GHz Core i7 6820HQ processor that has 32GB
of RAM, 128GB SSD and 2TB HDD. The
Graphics is a NVIDIA GTX 980M with 4 GB of RAM. This is a pretty looking computer.
It looks so simple but yet stunning. Of course when you look at this computer,
you will look closely at the 28 inch screen. The screen is connected to a small
aluminum base that is incorporated with 2 chrome hinges These 2 chrome hinges accommodates
an 80 spring mechanism that makes bending the screen smooth and easy. The
resolution of the display screen is 4,500 x 3,000. This has the equivalent of
13 million pixel resolution. This computer has a very thin base but this is where all the studio’s hardware is located.
This is a touchscreen computer. There is a surface pen that you can use for
several purposes. This is a well-balanced computer. It is built from aluminum. You can feel the smoothness
of the aluminum on the sides and back of the screen. The base is so refined and
nice to touch. Don’t be deceived by the looks of this computer, It was built
with a lot of strength. Although this computer weighs 21 pounds, it is so easy
to move this computer from one place of your home to another.
The Microsoft
Surface Studio has four USB 3.0 ports ( One of these ports has a lot of power
packed in to it ). There is a gigabit Ethernet jack, a Mini DisplayPort
connection, a full-sized SD card reader and a headphone jack. It has a 5
megapixel camera that is located on the front. You can use it to take pictures of
yourself or it can be used to skype someone. This camera is found alongside an IR camera
that can be used for faster logins. You can see the volume and power on the
right side. The new surface keyboard and mouse have the same gray exquisite
color. Microsoft Surface Studio has island style keys that are quite satisfying to use and the mouse can be
used in so many surfaces. The Display screen produces vibrant looking images and
documents can be read easily. If you are
an artist, you will surely love this computer because it is capable of switching from SRGB to a larger DCI-P3 color gamuts. There is also a surface Dial that you can
acquire for $100. Move it around and you can control the volume or zoom. You
can use it to choose options. Dangle this object on the screen and provisional
options will appear. You can do a lot of things on this screen like sketching
and drawing.
The Microsoft
Surface Studio is very powerful because you can use 12 tabs at the same time
while doing 4k video playback and ou can do multitasking. The disk speed is
considered to be a bit slow. This because of it’s hybrid SSD/mechanical hard
drive access to it’s storage. Just like any computer, there is no computer that
is perfect. All computers have their downsides. This computer cannot be used
for intensive gaming purposes. It’s at par with most notebook graphics but
because of the price I hope Microsoft could put some improvements here. A bit
of better graphics will make this desktop computer outstanding. This is a
computer that is meant for those people who are creative. With that said, the user must find out if this
desktop will be worthwhile to buy.
The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is the
follow up model of the Dell XPS 13 2015 model. What they did to the new edition
is that they added a hinge that allows the
user to bend the screen to a full 360 degree and make it look like a tablet.
The entry model starts at $1000. What we have here is the configuration of the $1300
model. These are the important
specifications: The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 has a 13.3 inch display screen. The
resolution is 1920 x 1080 touch display. It comes with a 1.3GHz Intel Core
i7-7Y75 processor. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 has a 128MB Intel Graphics 615. The
internal storage is 256GB SSD. For connectivity
purpose it ha a 80211acWI-FI and a Bluetooth 4.0. The dimensions are 0.32-0.54
x 1i.98 x 7.8 inches. For audio purposes,
it uses the Max Audio Pro 1W x2. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 uses the 4 cell ( 46 Whr ) battery. The Operating
system is Windows 10 Home ( 64 Bit ). It
weighs 2.7 pounds.
The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 has a snap on keyboard
that makes it more of a laptop than a tablet. This hybrid convertible laptop has all metal body design. It is thin and It is tightly packed. All the
space has been properly used. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 has high grade features
such as: a fingerprint sensor, Thunderbolt USB C-ports, dual lens IR webcam. It
also has a microSD card slot and the display is just so nice. The power button
is located on the right side edge. You can use the fingerprint sensor to log in
to Window Hello. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 keyboard travel speed is 1.3 millimeters, and is just a bit short than the 1.5 millimeter standard.. Once you get used to it, it won't bother you.The i7 chip is a lot faster and better than the i5 chip on the standard
model. I would choose the $1200 model
than the $999 model. The styling of the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 looks so good. There
were some concessions that were made but it still looks better than the previous
model.
This 2-in 1 laptop uses the fanless
“Y” series processors. ( It used to be
called Core M ). The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 uses the Kaby Lake 1.3GHz 7th
generation. This is performs better than
the Skylake 6th generation chip. On the Geekbench 4 CPU .
The user will get 15 to 20% more effective performance with the Kaby Lake
processor on the single core and multi-core performance. This can vary
depending on applications wherein the delta is larger or smaller. Intel is more
fixed and concentrated on battery life with the Y series. Remember that this is
a fanless 2-in-1 convertible and of course it cannot be compared to laptops
that have fans. A fanless machine will be slower than others that have fans. It
works well as a traditional laptop. You can use this like a tent and in
standing mode. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 will give you steady performance when you
are working at home or even in your office.. It is suitable to use for business purposes. The battery can last for a full 8
hours. I do not advice to use this 2-in-1 convertible for games or running your
browser on more than 10 tabs. This will kill your battery life. The Dell XPS1 3
2-in-1 is still better than the previous model.
